Introduction

Hi, my name is Arjun, and I am a senior at California High School. For this school year, I was accepted to join a program called iQuest at my high school. As a part of this program, seniors are allowed to leave school at midday and go to an internship at a local business and work as an intern in a field that that they interested in. I have always seen law as a possible career choice because I see it as a way to give back to the community and do something that is truly rewarding. I am interested in contributing to a local law firm because I see it as a stepping stone for me to achieve more and develop my skills during the iQuest program this school year.

I would like to be an attorney in the future, and hope to attain experience that would help me develop my skills and lead me down the path to accomplishing my goal one day. Currently, I volunteer at the Tri-Valley Youth Court where I serve as a juror and advocate in trials related to crimes committed by minors. This program serves as a way to help local youth learn from their mistakes and better their futures. My work in this program has inspired me to become a lawyer in order to make a positive impact on my community.

I will be beginning my internship at Barr and Young Attorneys in September. This firm is located in Danville and specializes in trust and estate litigation. This will be a perfect place for me to develop skills relating to the financial industry, which I hope to work in as a lawyer.  Along with completing my internship this year, I hope to begin exploring college options and settle on one by the end of senior year. I am also planning on staying focused on my academics while still ensuring I spend time with family and friends. After all, this is senior year and we will be going or separate ways after this year.

  1. Hello Arjun, I have to say you're a cinch for whatever law firm you could imaging due to the simple fact that your professionalism shines through your writing, and you've already got so much experience under your belt. All that's left is the schooling part. I wish you luck and sincerely hope you can get exactly what you hope to from iQuest!
