Cal High Mentor
My iQuest mentor is Ms. McFerrin. She is an English and Leadership teacher at Cal High and I have known her since last year. I was in both her English 11 and Leadership classes last year. I chose her as my mentor because I feel she knows me well and knows my future ambitions. I think she will keep me on the right path to achieving my goals in the future and support me throughout the process. When I asked her to be my mentor, she was very supportive and believed that my internship would work out well. I am grateful for her continued support and advice throughout the year. She is a great teacher and I am sure she will be a great mentor when it comes to decisions regarding my college applications and my iQuest internship.

Goal-Setting Reflection
Generally, I am not one to write down my goals. I usually keep them to myself and share them with those who I know best. I am glad we had to opportunity to write down our goals because I think it will keep me more focused on realizing them. My goals include enjoying more time with friends/family, keeping myself focused on school, getting into a good college, and eventually accomplishing my dream of being a corporate lawyer. I think it is essential to have a good support team when it comes to accomplishing anything. The people around me include those who I believe will keep me motivated and on the right path. I am excited for what lies ahead and look forward to working towards my goals.
